MASTERS OF MODERN SOUND

Image: Victor Frankowski

Co-presented by Art Gallery of New South Wales, Force Majeure and Sydney Festival

Experience art like never before in an after dark sonic sensation. Encounter leading Australian and international composers, musicians, sound designers, and performers from celebrated dance theatre company Force Majeure, as they create a new electric world.  Be immersed in new ambient and drone compositions from Twin Peaks sound designer and David Lynch collaborator, Dean Hurley. Encounter the repetitive electronics of Italian minimalist Caterina Barbieri and Western Sydney maximalist Del Lumanta. Weave throughout space and time with Immediate Horizon a new collaboration by Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails) and Lawrence English. Drift with the meditative and deconstructed piano of Chris Abrahams (the Necks) and Corin. Witness original movement and interventions created by Force Majeure’s Danielle Micich. And absorb an art acoustic and electronic experience in the blockbuster exhibition Masters of Modern Art from the Hermitage.
