A breathing, moving body in an empty space.
A space once inhabited by the human race.
The last human on earth, left to trace the burning waste.

Duet for the End of the World is an experiential and mesmerising new work co-created by Olwen Fouéré and Danielle Micich. Part physical theatre, part dance installation, it explores the concept of one last living breathing human, dissolving into darkness and light of the cosmos – in this case, performed by renowned Irish maker and performer Olwen Fouéré.

Duet is a solo work for both conventional and non-conventional spaces. There will be a site responsive lighting design. We have conceived it as a continuous durational work, performed over a number of hours throughout the day. It can also be programmed as a standalone performance at a running time of 45 minutes.

The Emergency Room is ‘for projects in need of immediate attention’, the Irish-based company of Olwen Fouéré.

Force Majeure respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, seas, waterways and skies where we work and we pay our respect to Elders both past and present. We recognise that our office is located on Gadigal Land.
